Remote Laundry Day
Time & Location
About the Event
We all have a story to tell. Make your story visible and connect with people who will appreciate you, in a comfortable, safe, and brave online space. This will be the second opportunity to hold space with other women remotely!
Once you sign up for this Laundry Day, you will receive an email response from me with the Zoom invite.
Laundry Days provide an opportunity for you to share your story, experience, and truth through the creation of a piece of visual storytelling. You don’t need any artistic skill to participate, just a desire to share your story. There is also never any pressure to share your story verbally. Some women just need to hold space with other women to be able to process a story.
Along these lines, please connect to the meeting in a space that feels most comfortable and safe to you...this could be your home or somewhere outside or even your car.
If possible, identify and have available articles of clothing or other textiles or pieces of fabric, photos or even things that you have written that could serve as the base layer for your piece.
Your signed or anonymous piece can be created and completed at home and then mailed to me at 613 Neill Ridge Road, Matthews, NC 28105 and will become a part of the collection of women’s stories and joined together on laundry clotheslines in ongoing installations of Airing Out the “Dirty” Laundry.
